Payment

At this moment, we have an ongoing promotion for $30 off your order if you refer a friend or neighbor. We do not offer any seniors discounts. We introduce  do new promotions on occasion so make sure you keep an eye on our social media!

Yes, you can definitely prepay for services! Also, you can save $100 if you prepay before the start of a season.

Upon ordering, you must provide your credit card information, which Yardly safely secures using Stripe. The timing of the payment depends on the type of service ordered:

For Monthly Snow Removal & Lawn Care Subscriptions:

  • Your credit card will be charged on the first day of the month, as specified in your order confirmation. 
  • For those who order partway through the month, your card will be billed for the remainder of the month immediately, and then on the first day of the month going forward.

For Spring & Fall Clean Up services:

  • Your credit card will be charged after the visit has been completed.

If you wish to prepay and save for season-long Snow Removal or Lawn Care services, please contact our Customer Support Team.

All our payments are automatically collected via credit card or VISA Debit.

Yardly accepts credit cards with any of the following card providers:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express

We use Stripe to securely store and process all of our transactions. 

We do not accept cash, cheque or e-transfers.

Ordering

1. Your Order Has Been Placed

Your part is done! Within a few minutes, you should receive an automatic email stating that ‘Your order has been placed.’ This confirms that Yardly has received your order.

2. Order Confirmation

Within a couple of business hours, a Yardly team member will review your order and confirm the accuracy of the price. Once completed, you will receive an Order Confirmation email, which will specify your order details such as the type of service, service date(s), pricing, and other important information.

Please note: All online and over the phone quotes are estimates only and the Order Confirmation email specifies the accurate price. In the event Yardly’s price is two or more price brackets above your website quote, your order will be placed on hold and a quote will be sent in place of an Order Confirmation for your approval.

3. Visit Reminder

For all services except Snow Removal, you will receive a Visit Reminder email the day before service. This will specify any preparations you should make before the Yardly Provider arrives at your property – e.g. marking sprinkler heads.

4. Service Visit

On the day of service, a Yardly Pro will come out to your property during our working hours (7am – 10pm for Snow Removal; 8am – 8pm for Yard services) to perform the service ordered. You are not required to be at your property at this time, so long as the Yardly Pro has access to the service areas. If you have special instructions for the Yardly Provider to gain access to your property’s service areas, please advise us in the notes section of the order page or contact our Customer Support Team before your service visit.

5. Payment

The timing of the payment depends on the type of service ordered and the payment option selected:

  • For Monthly Snow Removal & Lawn Care subscriptions, your credit card will be charged at the beginning of the month, as specified in the Order Confirmation email.
  • For Spring & Fall Clean Up services, your credit card will be charged after the visit has been completed.
  • If you wish to prepay for the season in advance, payment will happen on the date of ordering the service. If you wish to arrange this so you can save on your order, please contact our Customer Support Team.

Unfortunately, Yardly does not have a mobile app for Android or iOS. Our website is mobile friendly with all of our services, pricing, and ordering information.

Absolutely! You may order for anyone, whether that be a parent, relative, friend or neighbour.

However, please specify who is the authorized contact of the order so we can properly serve the property.

If our website won’t let you confirm your order, this is likely due to one of the following issues:

  1. You’re using Internet Explorer, which is incompatible with our website. Please use an alternate web browser to place an order (we recommend Chrome).
  2. You missed some required information.
  3. You forgot to enter a postal code with your credit card information.
  4. You forgot to agree to the cancellation policy and surcharges at the bottom of the screen

Please double check all fields of the order form. If you are still experiencing difficulties, please call our helpline within our business hours.

Services

The pick-up of all pine cones and pine needles is not included in the base Standard or Complete Clean Up packages.

However, it can be included as an extra add-on to your service. This would be billed hourly ($60/hr) in 0.5 hr increments (with a starting price of $30 and capped at $120).

If you require this service, please include it in your order.

No, unfortunately, we don’t service any commercial properties at this time.

Yardly offers a variety of services for residential properties, including:

  • Lawn Care (including fertilization and weed control in certain cities)
  • Snow Removal 
  • Spring Clean Ups
  • Fall Clean Ups

Yardly currently does not service commercial properties or offer sodding, over-seeding, dog waste removal, or garbage clean up services. 

Customer Satisfaction

In Alberta and Manitoba, our Yardly Pros use a combination of snow blowers and shovels. In Ontario, our Yardly Pros use truck plows, and shovels where the plow is unable to reach.

All Yardly Pro are vetted, insured and highly-rated independent contractors.

All Pros are required to have:

  • Professional lawn mowing and snow removal experience in your community
  • Identification documents
  • Commercial liability insurance of at least $2 million
  • Criminal background check
  • WCB coverage for those Pros which operate as companies

Once on the platform, Yardly also ensures the ongoing performance of its Pro through the use of a customer reviewing system, among other performance metrics.

Absolutely! We encourage you to give us as much feedback as possible so that we can continue to make Yardly the best it can be.

After your service visit, you will receive an email prompting you to rate the Yardly Pro’s quality of work. This helps determine the Yardly Pro’s customer rating, which we use to ensure only the most highly-rated service providers serve our customers. 

In addition, if you want to spread the word about Yardly, please consider leaving us a Google Review. This makes it easier for potential customers to find and place trust in Yardly.

Yes, you will never be locked in!

For all our subscription packages, you may cancel by giving us at least one day notice before your next billing cycle. No refunds or credits will be issued for any unused portions of the billing cycle. or unused visits. Rescheduling may be done on a case-by-case basis.

For Spring or Fall Clean Ups, you may cancel by giving us at least one day’s notice before your scheduled service date.

Scheduling & Timing

Packed Snow and Ice Surcharge

A  one-time additional surcharge may apply if the property has significant packed snow and ice build up on the first visit of the order. This is charged at an hourly rate of $60 per man-hour. This only applies to orders that start midway through the season, and have significant amounts of ice and snow build-up that require additional scraping.

You are not required to be home for the service, so long as the Yardly Pro has access to your property’s service areas.

If you have special instructions for the Yardly Pro to gain access to your property’s service areas, please advise us in the notes section of the order page or contact our Customer Support Team before your service visit.

We aim to start Spring Clean Ups in April each year, running until the end of May.

However, this will depend on the weather and ground conditions of the year, which may push back the start date to late April-early May.

Pricing

Packed Snow and Ice Surcharge

Absolutely! Before submitting an order on our website, you will see a rough price estimate at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. From here, you can choose whether or not to proceed.

Please note that this price is based on your own estimate of your property’s size. After you place your order, a Yardly team member will confirm the price in the Order Confirmation email based on a review of your property using a satellite imaging tool.

Overgrown Grass Surcharge (Lawn Care Services)

If the grass length exceeds 6”, then an ADDITIONAL one-time surcharge will be applied based on the average grass length to compensate the additional time needed for the job and additional wear and tear on the equipment. The surcharge will only apply to your initial service visit. After the initial 6 inches of grass, each additional 6 inches of grass will incur a multiplier to the base rate as shown below.

If you click on the Order Now page, you can select your property type and the service you’re interested in. A rough quote will appear in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen based on your selections before you confirm your order. 



For example, in the image above, the website quoted price is $64 (plus GST) per visit.

While your official price will be determined based on a review of your property after your order has been placed, this price is unlikely to vary significantly from the website quote.

If the price is significantly different from your quoted price, we will ask for your approval before proceeding with the order.
